Kornhausplatz
The Kornhausplatz is a town square situated in Bern. The square is the site of the Ogre Fountain, a popular tourist attraction that represents a carnival figure accompanied by a pillar and capital. The structure was erected around 1544. Also standing near the square is an old granary dating back to the 1700's. Today the granary serves as a fine restaurant and wine cellar enjoyed by local patrons and tourists alike. The Kornhausplatz is one of Bern's hotspots. It features several other restaurants, hotels and shops and even offers guests Wi-Fi service. The platz is within walking distance from the railway making it easily accessible to all.
